Gordon Brown Downfall – The Prequel

Came across this last week (unfortunately I cannot remember where I first saw it) and is ROFL funny, warning the subtitles do contain strong language.

Some background for non UK readers, at a by-election in July of this year the standing Labour candidate managed to turn a 13,000 majority into a 1,000 vote deficit to the SNP candidate, the election was in Glasgow East.

I'm not an expert of your political process means by any means, but that is huge to me.

In watching the clip, one thing stood out (among many): When the girl says that Labour will her and her baby, etc...

That's the type of stuff that gets people riled up here, especially conservatives. When the government starts taking the place of personal responsibility and taxing its folks to death to help those that don't exercise personal responsibility...well...you get a system of hands out waiting for help. Granted, there are folks that are in desperate need and truly need some help. That's fine. People playing the system is not fine, though.

Funny video. :)

rt, It was a huge swing that many put down to the Prime Minister's unpopularity.

There are too many people "playing the system" over here, nobody has yet found a way to stop this without hurting those who deserve to be helped.

That's a shame. Playing the system is a job of its own over here, too. What some people don't understand is that there are parents who teach their kids how to play and that's all they worry about. Education, getting ahead, finding opportunity to improve are foreign ideas to such people. It is sad.
