Farewell PC "David Copperfield"

One of the UK police bloggers that I have enjoyed reading for the last couple of years is packing it all in and moving to Edmonton Canada to join their police department.

He appeared on a BBC Panorama program last night higlighting some of the excessive amounts of paper work that our police have now been shackled with.

His writing was always good and he will be sadly missed. Wave goodby to him here.

It's not all just Hot Fuzz, is it? It's such a shame a system would shoot itself in the foot to the degree that they'd lose the best among their force to another country, for goodness' sake!
I've read his blog before - very engaging writer.

Hot Fuzz - one of my favourite films of the year :)

Yarp, but DC promises to blog from afar. It will be interesting to see if things are any better across the pond. Meanwhile, he has some guest writers contributing to his blog... and the standard is good.

Noddy, thanks for dropping by. I have been "lurking" at your place for some time now and use it as my portal to other fine Police Blogs.

Have read and enjoyed Bill's posts.

Slàinte mhath!
